VA Airline Training announced today that 100% of the inaugural Ryanair Mentored Programme APS MCC graduates who undertook Ryanair pilot selection this month, have been selected to join the airline. The successful graduates will be undertaking an upcoming Boeing 737 type rating.

VA is the only Approved Training Provider in the UK for the Ryanair Mentored Programme. VA pioneered the new EASA Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation Course (APS MCC) in the UK 2018, and in 2019 became the first ATO globally to offer APS MCC training for both the B737NG and the A320. VA APS MCC courses (airline-mentored and whitetail) commence weekly at the company’s Training Centre at Cambridge Airport, UK. Courses alternate between the B737NG and A320 type-specific simulators.

Anthony Petteford, VA Airline Training MD was delighted to receive the news from Ryanair’s pilot recruitment team: “We were super-excited to learn of the achievements of our first Ryanair mentored graduate pilots in Dublin. They are testament to the clear focus on core competencies developed during APC MCC training and how this focussed course also meets the aspirations of Ryanair; demonstrating that the Mentored Programme clearly works. I am confident their talents will continue to shine during their Type Rating and onto line operations with Ryanair.”

Ryanair’s Pilot Recruitment Officer, Colm Judge will be the guest speaker at VA’s upcoming Careers Event in Cambridge on 8 February 2020. This event presents an ideal opportunity to learn more about VA, whitetail and Ryanair Mentored APS MCC training and speak with two of last week’s successful Ryanair Mentored graduates about their experiences to date.
