VA and FTA announce training partnership
Virtual Aviation (VA) and FTA Global have entered into a training partnership which will allow FTA's students to undertake the AirlineReady® MCC+JOC with VA after completing their flying training.
Students who decide to enrol with VA instead of completing the MCC course at FTA will receive money back on their fees.
AirlineReady® is an enhanced MCC course which was developed by current airline TREs to redefine multi-crew and jet orientation training, by placing a strong emphasis on airline employability and type-rating readiness.
The course takes place at VA’s Flight Training Centre at Cambridge Airport, near London Stansted, and lasts three weeks - including 36 hours B737-800 simulator training.
Over the last three years, VA's Flight Training Centre has become a centre of excellence for multi-crew training, attracting high-calibre students from all over Europe. In just a few weeks, students develop into a different class of pilot - confident in their new skills and prepared to take advantage of the employment opportunities which await them.
Based at Brighton City Airport, FTA is a world-class commercial flight academy, and one of the few to offer integrated pilot training entirely in the UK. FTA's students learn to fly in state-of-the-art DA40 and DA42 Twin Star aircraft, which feature the same systems found in modern airliner flight decks, including EFIS, ADC, FADEC and GNSS instruments.
FTA’s Managing Director, Jonathan Candelon, commented, “Our partnership with VA will give our students a further option as to what path to take once they are nearing completion of their programmes. At FTA we understand the importance of available high-quality options that best suit the personal circumstances of the individual, as well as the dynamic industry at the time of completion”.
Ben Boness, Chief Commercial Officer at VA, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with FTA who have an excellent reputation for high-quality training and really care about the individual. This is something we value highly at VA and we look forward to a long relationship”.
