When did you know you wanted to be an airline pilot?
I have always had a dream to become an airline pilot since I was a child. I decided to follow my dream and chose an Aeronautical High School, starting my PPL when I was 17 years old.
When and where did you first learn to fly?
I started my PPL license in Forlí when I was 17, completing it at AeroClub Rimini, before I finished High School. For ATPL training I chose Cantor Air (Bergamo), completing my training with VA with the APS MCC on the B737NG.
What are you looking forward to the most about being an airline pilot?
I just can’t wait to fly my first jet aircraft and start to travel all around Europe.
What challenges did you overcome on your journey to becoming an airline pilot?
The training was hard and very demanding. The greatest challenge was the huge amount of notion and study required, but nothing is impossible if you are motivated and committed to reaching your goal.
What advice would you give yourself at the start of your airline journey if you could?
This is just the start of a new tough training journey. There is still a lot to learn! Do not forget to look out of the window and enjoy the view that you’ve earned.
If you weren’t an airline pilot what would you be?
I had never thought seriously about other professions... I always wanted to be an Airline Pilot.
When did you land your first airline job?
I received the call from Air Dolomiti on the 15th of May.
What aircraft will you be flying for your airline?
I will fly the Embraer 195.
For those thinking about becoming an airline pilot, would you recommend it, and why?
Do not give up! There will be tough moments during your training, but the reward will be worth it.
