A380 first delivery to Qatar
As Qatar Airways unveils the first of its fleet of Airbus A380s, the airline will offer an unrivalled passenger experience to travellers in all classes of service.
Qatar Airways’ Airbus A380s will deliver a truly premium feel throughout with a three-class configuration across the aircraft’s double-deck layout, which can accommodate 517 passengers: 8 in First Class, 48 in Business Class and 461 in Economy.
“Regardless of where they are located, passengers will experience the very best-in-class in terms of spaciousness, comfort and service,” said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. “Premium passengers will be able to enjoy the latest full-flat seat options in Business and First Class, while Economy travellers will benefit from outstanding space as a result of the modern Airbus comfort standard of at least 18-inch wide seats for long-haul travel.”
Another key feature of Qatar Airways’ A380 service will be in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for all passengers – allowing them to send emails for work, surf the web, or stay up-to-date with their social network.
Qatar Airways – which has ordered 10 A380 aircraft – is initially scheduled to commence long-haul service between Doha’s Hamad International Airport and London Heathrow Airport.
To mark the occasion, Airbus has released a series of short videos showing Qatar's first A380 in various stages of the production process.
