Why Virtual Aviation?

Here's what we can offer you...

The most advanced flight simulators.

We operate some of the world's most advanced Airbus & Boeing full-motion flight simulators. For a full listing, see the Locations & Simulators page. Please also see our Video.

A choice of major-airport locations.

We operate at modern, purporse-built, professional airline training centres at London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester.

A wide selection of dates.

We operate around 200 simulator sessions each month, so there will always be a huge selection to choose from. On our new website you can book a date online at any time. You can even view and amend an existing booking. If we don't have the date you want, we will quickly arrange a date to suit you - even at short notice. Please call 0870 350 0747 during office hours.

Type Specific.

As we use 90% of all full motion flight simulators currently in use in the UK, we have access to a wide selection of aircraft types.  Therefore you will have the chance to fly the same aircraft type in your training session as you will in your assessment.

A proven history of time well spent.

The flight deck layout can be customised to your airline layout. Your time will be spent practising the known departure and approach profiles, manually handling the aircraft using raw data, to give you familiarity and confidence to perform well in your assessment. We’ve been operating since 1998 and have thousands of satisfied customers.

A team of experienced pilots and staff.

You'll be accompanied by one of our team of 40 experienced pilots, all of whom are real airline pilots who are happy to guide you and help refine your skills. Mark Green is also kept up-to-date with regular feedback from our customers and has in-depth knowledge of the technical questions you may be asked in your assessment.

Don't get ripped off!

Be wary of cheaper training, the simulator quality doesn't come close...

There are several companies who offer old, basic flight simulators - but promote them as being similar to ours. In fact, we are the only company in the UK approved to operate real CAA-certified full-motion simulators for Simulator Assessment Preparation.

If you're thinking about booking a simulator flight with another company, don't part with any money until you have asked these important questions:

  • How many locations do you offer, and are they major-airport locations?

  • How many flight simulators do you offer, and how new are they?

  • What is the choice of aircraft types?

  • Are the simulators at least 90% used by airlines?

  • Do the simulators have full six-axis motion systems?

  • Do the simulators have full-colour, wraparound, daylight visuals?

  • Is instruction provided by an airline pilot type-rated on that aircraft type?

  • Can dates be booked especially for you at short notice?

  • Are the simulators certified by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) to Level C or Level D standard?

  • What is the building like, is it a modern airline training centre, and are there photos on your website?

  • How many Simulator Assessment Preparation sessions have you carried out for that airline in the past 6 months?

  • Do you have a pass rate of over 90%?
