New Boeing 737NG simulator coming to Heathrow or Stansted
Published on 11 Oct 2009
Virtual Aviation is pleased to announce that we are in final negotiations to purchase a new fixed base simulator based on the Next Generation Boeing 737-800, compliant to JAR 3A.
The new simulator will be fitted with the latest daylight wrap-around visual system, with breathtakingly realistic satellite imagery and a database of 24,000 airports worldwide.
The simulator will be available to professional pilots, flight training organisations, corporate groups and members of the public - for less than £300 per hour (inclusive of instruction and VAT). That's around half of the hourly rate for the equivalent full flight simulator.
We currently expect the simulator to be installed close to London Heathrow or London Stansted during December 2009, with a scheduled in-service date of January/February 2010.
